Global contestants from 'Boys Planet' that already made their debut

'Boys Planet' is an ongoing boy group reality survival show produced by Mnet to form a global K-pop boy group. The show is a male version of 'Girls Planet 999,' the survival program that formed the girl group Kep1er.

The survival show features 93 male trainees in total as contestants. The trainees are split into two groups: the K-Group for candidates from Korea and the G-Group for contestants worldwide. Some of the participants have already made their debut in the industry. Let's take a look at the already debuted global contestants from the show.

KEITA

    Terazono Keita is a Japanese rapper and songwriter who is a member of the K-pop boy group CIIPHER under the management of Rain Company. The group debuted on March 15, 2021, with the debut mini album “I Like You.” He is competing on “Boys Planet” as a G-Group contestant. Keita also participated in the survival show “YG Treasure Box.”

    Krystian Wang

      Krystian Wang is an inactive member of NOW UNITED, a well-known global pop group under XIX Entertainment. He made his group debut in 2018 and his solo debut in January 2022 with the EP "Krystian." This Chinese singer-songwriter, dancer, and model was revealed as a "Boys Planet" contestant in December last year.

      Wang Yan Hong

        Wang Yanhong is one of the global contestants on "Boys Planet." He is a member of the Chinese boy group ASE Family. The label ASE is in charge of both him and the group.

        Yang Jun

          Yang Jun is another member of the Chinese boy group ASE Family who is participating as a global contestant on “Boys Planet,” along with bandmate Yanhong.

          Xuan Hao

            Xuan Hao is a Chinese musician signed to Beijing Stardyehot Entertainment. He is a member of the Chinese boy band DREAM4. He participated in "Youth With You 3," a Chinese reality survival show, and is currently participating in "Boys Planet."

            WINNIE

              Winnie, a Thai participant on "Boys Planet," is a member of the South Korean boy band NINE.i managed by FirstOne Entertainment. On March 30, 2022, this rapper and songwriter made his debut with the group with their first mini album, "New World."

              Jay Chang

                Boys Planet’s global trainee, Jay, is an American singer and lyricist under FM Entertainment. He is active as a soloist in South Korea and made his solo debut in 2020 with the digital single “Is You.” Previously, Jay was also a part of the pre-debut group M.O.N.T Arena.

                Feng Jun Lan

                  Feng Jun Lan is a Chinese musician signed to Stardust Entertainment. He is a member of the Chinese boy band ECAT. He is participating as a global contender on “Boys Planet.”

                  KEI

                    Okano Kei is a Japanese contestant on "Boys Planet." He is a member of EBiDAN's dance and vocal unit, EDAMAME BEANS, and made his group debut on May 13, 2020. This Japanese group was formed under the “EBiDAN THE STREET” project in 2016.

                    YUTAKA

                      Nozaki Yutaka is a Japanese trainee who is participating as a contestant on “Boys Planet.” Yutaka was a former member of DRESS_NO. and GEKIDAN BANCHOU BOYS. He is an actor as well.

                      WUMUTI

                        Umut Tursun, better known as Wumuti, is a Chinese contestant on “Boys Planet” under JPark&Company. He had previously been a part of the Chinese boy band SWIN and its subunit SWIN-S. SWIN is an abbreviation for “Super Idol Winner.” The group made its debut in October 2016, and Wumuti left the group in 2018.

                        Krystian Wang also participated in the Chinese survival show Youth With You, where Blackpink Lisa was one of the judges. He was a strong contender on the show. Unfortunately, Youth With You was officially cancelled and terminated by the Chinese media government bureau, due to the show's milk-wasting controversies.

                        Damn so many ex Chinese boy group members. Disappointed tho that much Girl's Planet they weren't able to get Japanese idols from a high-profile group the way Produce 48 did with AKB48 and its sister groups.
