BTS's V (Kim Taehyung) reveals he had to get IV injections 3 times after working extra hard for 'Jinny’s Kitchen' filming

"Jinny's Kitchen" is two days away from premiering on Amazon Prime Video for international fans. The unscripted variety show features Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yoo Mi, Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Sik, and BTS's V (Kim Taehyung), running an overseas Korean restaurant in Bacalar, Mexico.

On February 22, producer Na Young Seok and the cast of "Jinny's Kitchen" attended an online press conference, and shared details for the upcoming variety program.

Taehyung made everyone at the event laugh when he said that he had to get IV injections three times after the show's filming ended because of all the hard work he put in.

"When I returned home after the shoot, I got an IV three times. I put my bloody effort. Please look forward to it."

Some fans pointed out that Mexico's unbearable heat may have been difficult for Taehyung since South Korea's weather is much cooler. Regardless of whether he was serious or half-joking, Taehyung is known for being a hard worker who gives his 100% in everything that he does, as fans have seen in BTS's content.

"Competition for survival, not healing show"

Producer Na PD shared during the press conference that 'Jinny's Kitchen' will be like an office drama competing for survival. This would be a contrast to his previous healing programs like 'Youn’s Kitchen.'

"The previous works were healing programs, but this time it is a competition for survival. Like an office drama, strife, checks, and meritocracy prevail. President Lee Seo-jin, who values seniority, has a philosophy that 'profit is king'. You can also see the interns contrasting with Lee Seo-jin, the model of the older generation."

"Old generation vs New generation."

Aside from being a hardworking intern, Producer Na PD reveals one of Taehyung's charms was his ability to fluster the boss, Seojin. Since Taehyung was from the new generation, he was honest and real and didn't walk on eggshells around people.

"Taehyung walked on eggshells less because he's young. His boss was in agony due to sales, but he kept talking about going on a picnic the next day or his pay. His boss was very flustered by him. I think that's what made him appealing. He worked very hard and he was diligent, but he had the elements of the new generation."

'Jinny's Kitchen' premieres on February 24 at 8:50 PM KST on tvN and TVING for viewers in Korea. Amazon Prime Video will release the show for international fans in the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam. More countries will be added later.

Tae is such a free spirit, hardly anything phases him. I can imagine needing those IV’s was due to dehydration as the heat is bad in that area.
