BTS' Jimin, the artist, idol, and performer, has dedicated his life to his craft, perfecting it and emerging top among K-pop idols in the industry. Because of this, he has been given the 'rookie's bible' and 'Idol of idols' titles, with many praising him and also covering his record-breaking songs to try to copy his style.
Earlier on the 2nd of July, TAKI a member of HYBE Labels Japan boy group &Team, revealed Jimin's influence with S Cawaii! MEN magazine. He talked about BTS's influence on him being an idol, especially Jimin's performance on "Blood, Sweat and Tears," saying, "Jimin is so sexy! I was so impressed that he could dance like this and that there's such a great performance in the world, and everything was fresh."
A few months later, on the 26th of November, another member and dancer from the same group mentioned Jimin. Koga Yudai, a.k.a. K, who gave an interview with Japan's TVLIFE magazine, mentioned Jimin as the senior in K-pop whom he admires. K has impressive dance skills and even earned a scholarship to study, thanks to his athletic abilities.
These mentions add to the long list of HYBE-affiliated artists who have expressed admiration for Jimin in influencing them as idols. They include: TXT's Yeonjun, Taehyun, Heuningkai & Beomgyu; Enhypen's Jay, Ni-Ki and Jungwon; LE SSERAFIM's rapper, singer and ballerina Kazuha, Fromis_9's Vice-captain, lead vocal and main dancer Hayoung and more.
Jimin's influence continues to grow, and on the 21st Lim Kyungmun, the lead vocal for the upcoming group YOUNITE also mentioned Jimin in an interview in Japan. When asked about who he looks up to, he answered and said, "When I see how Jimin thinks about his fans and his performance on stage, even if they aren’t fans they are so impressed and entranced I want to be like that and I’m learning.”
On the 20th of November, four-time national champions and 2020 NHK gold medalists Misato and Takeru Komatsubara once again stunned with their ice skating routine to "Filter" during this year's NHK Trophy championships in Japan. The duo previously performed their routine to "Filter" during 2021's "Stars on Ice" in Japan, wowing fans with their red suits, to resemble Jimin's online concert outfit for the song.
Jimin has inspired a lot of idols in the Korean industry and globally. They have praised him and even covered his songs: "Lie," "Serendipity," "Filter," "With You," "Promise," and "Christmas Love." The list of Korean idols includes Mari from WITCHES, NEWKIDD's Woochul, TREASURE's Junghwan and Hyunsuk, ATEEZ's Wooyoung, Astro's Rocky, VeriVery's Dongheon and Hoyoung, Day 6's Jae to name a few. The likes of Australian actor Keiynan Lonsdale, Bulgarian Russian singer Kristian Kostov, Russian professional ballerina Maria Khoreva, Filipino celebrities Iñigo Pascual, Jane de León, Darren Espanto, Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, and even Boyz 2 Men's Shawn Stockman have also covered his songs.
