As Christmas approaches, holiday songs are becoming popular once again, and Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, is proving himself to be the rising star for the season.

British media Edinburgh Live reported on the most popular Christmas songs on Spotify right now based on data provided by Slingo, an entertainment platform. 

Slingo compared the 100 most-frequently featured Christmas songs on various Spotify playlists. Different Christmas-related search terms were also used to get a more diverse set of playlists. 

According to findings, Taehyung is leading the Christmas ranking with his most recent OST, "Christmas Tree," for the K-drama series "Our Beloved Summer." 

Based on the total number of times it has been featured in playlists, "Christmas Tree" is currently the most popular Christmas song on Spotify. It is featured across 2,172 playlists on the platform, surpassing Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You."

Although not officially a Christmas song, his other romantic ballad, "Sweet Night," has also been featured in many festive playlists and ranks fifth on the list.

"Snow Flower," another one of Taehyung's solo songs, has also started gaining popularity on TikTok. Its official audio is now marked as 'Popular' on the platform. 

Taehyung proved himself a budding songwriting genius by writing "Snow Flower," a timeless jazzy song, in three hours while being tipsy. 

Its lyrics, "Christmas without you would just not be Christmas at all," perfectly captures the romantic holiday spirit and has resonated with a lot of people.

HYBE has begun adding all BTS members' Soundcloud songs to Spotify, and fans are eagerly waiting for "Snow Flower" to be released on all paid platforms soon.
