Crush recently faced much criticism after international fans claimed he intentionally avoided giving high-fives to fans with darker skin.

The controversy started on October 10, KST, when two roommates who attended the '2022 SOMEDAY PLEMORA' festival claimed that Crush skipped them while giving out high-fives because they had darker skin. Along with the claims, video footage of the R&B singer performing at the '2022 SOMEDAY PLEMORA' festival went viral on social media as it shows him allegedly giving high fives to audience members and skipping two people with darker skin.

But the story was only told partially because another fan released a video from another angle with audio. The video showed the same moment that the two roommates claimed Crush intentionally avoided their hands with darker skin, but in the newly revealed video with audio, the singer is clearly heard saying, "You might get hurt, be careful." Also, in a close-up, slow-motion video, Crush is seen reaching down again to one of the two roommates.

As Crush claimed in his apology, the video with the audio revealed that Crush was looking out for his fans' safety. 

After this new video was released, #ApologizeToCrush trended on Twitter as many fans demanded that the individuals, who accused Crush of being racist, to apologize.

Not only that, netizens found that the individual who claimed she was ignored by Crush because of her dark skin has an alleged history of claiming other K-pop artists doing the same thing. According to netizens, this individual was allegedly seen tweeting messages saying that ATEEZ members also ignored her because she had darker skin and was black. One netizen also alleges that the accuser said similar things about Yunho, Hoongjong, Loco, and Heize.
