On September 23, SBS's new drama 'One Dollar Lawyer' and MBC's new series 'The Golden Spoon' went head to head, premiering at the same time. 

In terms of viewership ratings, SBS's 'One Dollar Lawyer' took the lead according to Nielsen Korea, recording an average nationwide viewership rating of 8.1%, a citywide average rating of 8.8%  and its highest peak at 10.6%. Starring Nam Goong Min, Kim Ji Eun, and more, 'One Dollar Lawyer' tells the story of a defiant lawyer named Chun Ji Hoon, a lawyer who will represent the underrepresented in society with a pay of only 1,000 won (~ 70 cents in USD) per client. 

On the other hand, MBC's 'The Golden Spoon' recorded an average nationwide viewership rating of 5.4% according to Nielsen Korea, as well as a citywide average rating of 5.1% and its highest peak at 7%. Starring BTOB's Sungjae, Jung Chae Yeon, Lee Jong Won, Yeonwoo, etc, 'The Golden Spoon' tells the story of Lee Seung Chun, a young man whose life is an endless cycle of poverty and discrimination. However, after stumbling across a spoon of gold, Seung Chun suddenly becomes the son of a rich family, taking the place of his friend.
