BTS's Kim Taehyung surpasses Stray Kids and becomes the 8th most-followed K-pop account on Spotify

Kim Taehyung, aka V of BTS, has now surpassed the boy group Stray Kids as the 8th-most followed K-pop account on Spotify, one of the largest streaming platforms in the world. 

Taehyung achieved this with just three K-drama OSTs under his profile, namely "Christmas Tree," "Sweet Night," and "It's Definitely You." He also currently holds the record as the only Korean soloist to have 3 OSTs surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify. 

The anticipation of his upcoming solo debut album is at an all-time high. Taehyung is known to prefer non-mainstream genres of music, and critics are looking forward to what he has to offer. 

Columnist Jeff Benjamin expressed particular interest in Taehyung's personal work due to his love for jazz and soul music. 

Top K-pop lyricist Kim Eana also recently revealed that she is working with Taehyung on his upcoming solo album, which has further raised expectations and created more excitement for his future music releases.
