On July 8 KST, aespa made their highly-anticipated return with the group's second mini-album, 'Girls,' which features the title track of the same name. Prior to the girls' comeback, it was reported that 'Girls' recorded over 1.6 million units in pre-order, setting a new impressive feat as they become the K-Pop girl group with the highest number of stock pre-orders.

According to the data released by Hanteo, 'Girls' accumulated 806,891 copies sold on the first day of its release, breaking several records. The album has become aespa's best-selling album not only in first-day sales but also in first-week sales, surpassing the number of sales 'Savage' recorded, which had 276,877 first-week album sales.
