BTS's Kim Taehyung becomes the First Asian in history to surpass 20 Million Likes on Instagram

Kim Taehyung, aka V, continues to display his social media influence and dominance on Instagram since all BTS members opened individual public accounts on December 6, 2021.

Taehyung's picture of his loveable pet dog Yeontan is now the first and only Asian act to reach 20 million likes on an Instagram post. 

In addition, user @thv also now holds the title of the 18th most-liked Instagram post of all time. He is the only Asian in the Top 20 who has entered Wikipedia's official ranking. 

Taehyung is now one of the ten celebrities in the world to reach the milestone, joining global superstars such as Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Tom Holland, and Zendaya. 

Although his peers on the list of the 'Top 20 Most-Liked Instagram Posts' have much older accounts with a higher follower count, Taehyung's 6-month-old account boasts the highest average likes in the world, thanks to his engaged and passionate fans.
