On the April 29 broadcast of the TVING-original reality 'Seoul Check-In', Lee Hyori visited the home of 1st-generation K-pop solo singer Kim Wan Sun, joined by her crew of other top female soloists like Uhm Jung Hwa, BoA, and MAMAMOO's Hwa Sa. 

On this day, Kim Wan Sun offered the ladies alcohol beverages, but BoA declined and stated that she would be recording in the studio the next day. The singer also hinted that she had plans to make a comeback in October of this year, surprising viewers. 

The ladies then spent time chatting, reminiscing about their careers. Here, Uhm Jung Hwa recalled encountering singer Kim Wan Sun at MBC during her pre-debut days as a member of a background chorus. "I went to the cafeteria at 6 PM and ate dinner before the show at 7 PM. I would see Kim Wan Sun there too, but I never saw her eating. I always thought, 'Why doesn't she eat?'."

To this, Kim Wan Sun responded, "They didn't let me eat before going on stage. I just went to the cafeteria because my staff was going there, but I didn't eat. I only watched other people eat. I didn't have the energy to do anything during those days, so I just sat still without moving. And then I would go on stage and pour out all the energy I had stored up." 

Next, Lee Hyori asked BoA if she had strict rules during her early debut days. BoA confessed, "I didn't have the energy to go out and have fun after practicing all day. But in my twenties, everything that I had been suppressing up until then exploded. I remember I went out to nighttime establishments with Hyori unnie back in those days. She was the one who introduced me to that path." Hearing this, Lee Hyori smiled questioningly but offered no rebuttal, drawing laughter. 

Maknae Hwa Sa also shared a story from her debut days, recalling, "The members and I packed up our bags and ran away from the dorms in the middle of the night. We went to a bar, because we were too scared of going to a club."
