Lee Jung Jae made another history at the 27th 'Critics' Choice Awards'.

On March 13th, Lee Jung Jae becomes the first Korean actor to win Best Actor in a Drama Series at the 27th Annual 'Critics Choice Awards'. He had everyone burst out laughing by opening his acceptance speech with "Thank you, God". He continued, "Thank you to everyone who supported 'Squid Game'. It's really hard to put to words how I'm feeling. Thank you."

Meanwhile, 'Squid Game' became the most-watched series on Netflix with over 1.65 billion hours of view time in the first 28 days after its release in September 2021.

I remember watching him for the first time in New World years ago and thinking he was really something special. It’s great to see Korean actors getting some much deserved recognition. Congratulations on the win! 👏🏻

Congrats for Lee Jungjae... he's one of my most favorite actors ❤👌👍

It's sad that Korean actors and actresses only get international recognition (awards) if they get booming. I remember Kim Heeae (The World of the Married), Kim Soyeon (Penthouse), Kim Namjoo (Misty), Kim Hyesoo (Signal), Kim Seohyung and Yum Jungah (SKY Castle), Son Yejin, Lee Byunghun, Kim Taeri, Jun Jihyun, and Kim Hyeja performing very excellently in their dramas but didn't get nominated or win any words in western countries... because in western countries their dramas were not hits like Squid Game. I hope there will be more chances for K-actors and actresses to get what they deserve ❤
