YG Entertainment establishes strategic partnership with Binance to venture into NFTs

On February 8, YG Entertainment confirmed that the label has established a strategic partnership with Binance, a global cryptocurrency exchange platform, to venture into NFTs. 

According to YG Entertainment, "We plan on venturing into virtual assets, blockchains, and NFTs in partnership with Binance in 2022. Binance will manage the exchange platform and technology, and YG Entertainment will provide various content." 

Currently, YG Entertainment is said to be working on projects including a smart-chain based game, as well as other goods and services geared toward the metaverse. 

 Meanwhile, YG Entertainment is home to artists including Big Bang, BLACKPINK, WINNER, iKON, AKMU, TREASURE, and Sechskies

good decision , I was wondering why these entertainment agencies were not doing this in the first place . the amount of profits that can be generated with NFTs are astronomical ,possibly surpass merch revenue tbh.
