Streamer Jammi takes her own life after constant malicious comments

AKP STAFF

Streamer Jammi has taken her own life after suffering from malicious comments.

On February 5, Jammi's uncle notified the 27-year-old streamer's community about her passing. According to her uncle, Jammi had been suffering from serious depression due to numerous malicious comments and rumors. He wrote, "I hope you don't insult the deceased. It's too hard for both the bereaved family and friends. She left a suicide note, and through articles, I could see how hard Jammi had it and how she was bullied. Don't start any ridiculous rumors anymore."

Jammi was previously involved in a controversy for an allegedly feminist gesture she made. She also told her viewers her mother had taken her own life after seeing the malicious comments, and it's reported her depression became serious after her mother's passing.

If you or someone you know is at risk of self-harm or suicide, seek help as soon as possible by contacting agencies specializing in crisis intervention and suicide prevention in the United States and abroad.

I think people should work their way around this, because hate comments will never end. Internet holds too much power on people's lives because people allow that to happen. We need to start programs in schools to help people use the internet in a safer way. The pionners of youtube and streaming could come together with psychologists, to reach young kids and teens in schools in how to deal with the internet impact. If teens could hear that from youtubers themselves, it would have a different impact and maybe help them to grow stronger and be more powerfull and confident.
