Last month BTS's Jin became the Worldwide Strawberry Captain as he was gifting boxes of strawberries to all of his close friends. The kind of strawberries he was giving out is called "Durihyang Strawberries," which grow near Jin's uncle's farm and are way bigger and sweeter than the ordinary strawberries.

Of course, the strawberries got immediately sold out after being noticed by Jin. 

Recently, Hankyung Economy News made a report about the penetration rate of "Durihyang Strawberries" rapidly growing from 1% (last year rate) to 96%! 

"Durihyang, a domestic strawberry variety with a penetration rate of less than 1% (as of last year), recently ran out of stock. This is the result of word of mouth among the BTS fandom, ARMY. It is rumored that the fact that BTS member Jin, who visited her maternal uncle's strawberry farm, gave a gift to Chef Lee Yeon-bok, etc."

Due to very high demand, the price was being set higher and higher for the restocked strawberries boxes. In the end, the price became 70% higher than last year.

It became the number 1 selling fruit in January!

Jin keeps being a significant influence on the economy. Recently, The Financial Times reported about Jin drastically impacting the sales of Samsung C&T Fashion Group! Their revenue has increased by 378% since last year, and Jin is the one responsible for this success. This Fashion Group has guided the fashion history in Korea since 1954.
