Actor Nam Yoon Soo is in talks to lead SBS's new drama 'Today's Webtoon'.
On February 8 KST, one drama industry insider revealed, "Nam Yoon Soo has been finalized as the male lead in 'Today's Webtoon', which is scheduled to be broadcast in the later half of this year."
'Today's Webtoon' depicts the story of a On Ma Eum (played by Kim Se Jung) who, after giving up her dreams as a professional Judo athlete due to an injury, begins working for a webtoon editing team. Her growth into a true webtoon editor, as she overcomes struggles with her colleagues, will be shown. It is a Korean remake of the Japanese drama 'Jūhan Shuttai!'. Nam Yoon Soo has been offered the male lead role, a character who works in the sales department and becomes friends with Ma Eum. Many look forward to Nam Yoon Soo and Kim Se Jung's on-screen chemistry.
Previously, it was reported that Na In Woo was reviewing his role offer as the male lead in 'Today's Webtoon'. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Na In Woo decided to pass on this offer.
Meanwhile, 'Today's Webtoon' is scheduled to premiere in July this year.
