BTS's V trends #1 worldwide as his 26th birthday becomes a Worldwide Festival #HAPPYVDAY

BTS's Kim Taehyung, aka V, turned 26 years old (27 years in Korean age) on December 30. The whole world celebrated by showering him with much adoration, appreciation, and affection on his birthday.

V's birthday became a worldwide festival as Taehyung fanbases, fansites, and some ARMYs organized hundreds of events and large-scale projects, both locally and internationally. 

Multiple landmarks turned purple for V's birthday as a tribute to the phrase he coined "I Purple You." 

Congratulatory birthday videos were seen in high traffic areas such as large billboards and LED screens in big cities, malls & stores, bus and subway stations, and even online. Various local events were also organized by regional fanbases. 

Within minutes of the clock striking midnight in South Korea, various birthday hashtags entered worldwide trends and trended throughout the day as fans expressed the joy Taehyung brings into their lives.
