BTS V's record on SoundCloud was one of the most-talked about topics on the internet

According to The Insight Research Institute, BTS V's record as "the most streamed Korean act on SoundCloud with 500 Million streams" is one of the most talked-about topics on the internet.

On KBS1 Radio, the current affairs program's researcher & vice president, Kim Duk-jin, talked about the popular issues (topics) on the internet. According to the big data collected from 8/3 to 8/9, Taehyung's record on SoundCloud and the Olympics were the most talked about topics on the internet.

He stated that they saw "Cloud," a much-talked-about topic, and when they delved deeper, it was because of "SoundCloud." He described SoundCloud as a YouTube, but for music, if YouTube is a platform where anyone can upload videos, SoundCloud is a platform where anyone can upload their own songs. Kim Duk-jin stated this was trending due to V's record on the SoundCloud platform.

"For the first time in kpop, V has recorded 500 million streams on SoundCloud alone."

The researcher talked about V reaching that record with his own self-produced songs and how impactful it is despite being free songs.
