BTS's Jimin makes his runway debut at the #LVMenFW2021 show in Seoul

Louis Vuitton has just unveiled its Men's Fall-Winter 2021 collection by Virgil Abloh, the men's artistic director for the brand. The show was held in Seoul, and the members of BTS, who were recently signed as the brand's house ambassadors, were the main focus of this show. Mainly, the collection showcased in this show comprised of 41 looks, 34 of which were new, whereas 7 were from the original range that the brand unveiled in January. This collection was shown through a film by a Korean director Jeon Go-woon, streamed live on the brand's website and on the brand's Twitter page. The BTS members wore one look each, and fans could not keep calm over Jimin's visuals and how he carried himself on the runway.

Jimin was the opening act for the film, where he was seen wearing a speckled off-white suit and striking sunglasses with a gold-colored top frame. This was the 26th look for the collection, as listed on the brand's official website. The piece that Jimin wore was one of the looks from the original collection showcased back in January of this year.

The Daily Frontrow magazine has previously reported on the January show, stating that Virgil Abloh had just made businessmen the ultimate fashion inspiration thanks to his collection https://fashionweekdaily.com/l...>, and Jimin could not have played this role any better. Fans reacted to the look, saying that he was giving CEO vibes, which attests to his exquisite portrayal of what the designer intended to show through his collection.

As fans kept reacting to this extraordinary moment, various keywords such as PARK JIMIN, LV FRONTMAN JIMIN, MODEL PARK JIMIN, and GLOBAL IT BOY JIMIN became trending topics on Twitter, appearing in various region's trends. Additionally, according to google trends, Jimin ranked third among the riding topics related to Louis Vuitton following this show, further testifying to his impact as a brand ambassador.

With such an aura and charisma that saw Jimin expel the exact message on which the brand built the collection and the showcase, it is no surprise that Jimin was the opening act for this show. Charles Manning, a style editor for Cosmopolitan magazine, recently answered questions from the public regarding fashion. One of the questions he received was about how the order in which models should walk in the show is decided.

In response, he asserted that usually, the designer sets this order. However, the first and last spots in the line-up always carry some level of prestige, thereby making them the most coveted spots on the line-up. The two positions are thus awarded to "the biggest models" or "the biggest models in the show."  He further mentions that any new models who get such positions, particularly in big fashion shows, can possibly have their careers rising fast as "it is considered a huge endorsement by the industry." https://www.cosmopolitan.com/s...>.

Suffice to say, opening the show was a major thumbs up to Jimin, who has proven himself time and again as a force to reckon with in the industry. Back in 2019, another major luxury brand YSL had contacted one of Jimin's fansites to use his image in their Asia and Paris headquarters. Another luxury brand CELINE also previously posted an image of Jimin on its official Twitter page, whereas Peter Utz, a director at the same brand, posted an image of Jimin on his Instagram. Jimin is also the only third-generation idol to have been selected as a member of the BOF 500 (Business of Fashion), a definitive professional index consisting of individuals who are considered influencers in the $2.4 trillion fashion industry.

Therefore, Jimin has already made a name for himself in the fashion world, and it is not a surprise that he was awarded the coveted opening position by Louis Vuitton, keeping in mind that it is his debut on the runway.

Since his runway debut a few hours ago, Jimin has received praises from prominent people in the fashion world and news outlets, after his runway debut, such as KoreaPortal <http://en.koreaportal.com/arti...>, Yahoo Japan <https://news.yahoo.co.jp/artic...> Vogue Japan, Teen Vogue, and Edward Barsamian, former style editor for Vogue, and editor-in-chief for Victoria Beckham, who has been paying attention to Jimin's fashion for three years now.

Fans are excited for future events on this collaboration, to see more of Model Park Jimin as the Louis Vuitton Frontman and a reputable name in the fashion industry.
