Singer Lim Young Woong has won #1 on a recent music program.

As reported, this week's winning trophy on 'Show! Music Core' went to the solo ballad singer Lim Young Woong. Having debuted 2016, it has taken the singer over 4 years to garner his first win. During the encore stage, he expressed, "I didn't even think about this. Thank you." 

He then thanked his fans, saying "There are no fellow singers up on this stage. I could seem very lonely, but since it's an award that you all have supported and made for me, I am not lonely one bit. Young Woong Generation (fandom name), thank you so much. Please be healthy and happy."

For this week's nominations, Lim Young Woong had run up against top female solo singers IU and Rosé. Despite the higher video streams and viewer votes of these singers, Lim Young Woong won by an additional 2000 points due to his high digital sale points. 

His song "My Starry Love" has topped sales on Gaon's Digital Chart, Download Chart, BGM Chart, Ringtone Chart, and Coloring Charts.
