Shim Eun Kyung to host the '44th Japan Academy Awards'

Actress Shim Eun Kyung will be the first Korean actress to host the 'Japan Academy Awards'.


On January 27th, the 'Japan Academy Awards' announced that Shim Eun Kyung will be hosting the '44th Japan Academy Awards' with anchorman Hatori Shinichi on its official website. The award show will be held on March 17th, and the actress will be the first Korean actress to host the renowned award show. The 'Japan Academy Awards' has been celebrating excellence in Japanese film since 1978.  

Meanwhile, Shim Eun Kyung took home the 'Best Lead Actress' award at the '43rd Japan Academy Film Awards' held in Japan on March 6th of last year.
