Popular Chinese survival show “Youth With You” (青春有你2 in Chinese) recently aired its 17th episode, showcasing showstopping performances from their remaining trainees. However fans of (G)I-DLE we’re quick to discover there was something strangely familiar.
Chinese fans and international fans alike have voices desperate concern after seeing stark similarities between YWY’s original song “Lion” and (G)I-DLE’s popular song “Lion” created for the finale of the MNET show “Queendom”.
Aside from the title of the song’s, similar outfits, choreography and even lyrics have been discovered between the two. Point choreography of another stage “Play” is also very similar, causing suspicions that the kpop group’s Lion was a major inspiration. Fans of (G)I-DLE have taken to social media to ask for credit and acknowledgment.
