Eruption of Taal volcano blanketed Philippine city in ash. The eruption has inflicted significant damage on the livelihoods of thousands. BTS V noticed the distress and expressed his concern on weverse addressing to a Pinoy ARMY stating “this hurts my heart a lot. I hope no one gets hurt and nature will not hurt people anymore, truly”

BTS V is one of few KPOP Idols who promote humanitarian works, be it helping Armys finding blood donor through SNS, promoting small artists, charities and other natural disaster victims. V is a proven driving force behind motivating fans to donate for altruistic causes.

V’s @TaehgersPh, which is known for humanitarian work in the name of the idol, once again participated in Donation drive for victims of natural disaster.

It was a 5 days donation drive resulting in collection of total Php 45,750 from worldwide Donors. The amount was being gathered for distributing mask, water and other essentials in selected areas of Batangas in coordination with National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council.

@TaehgersPh were able to distribute face mask on 3 areas Tondo, Quezon City and Cavite. In addition to this, they reached a total of 3 evacuation centres for relief operation - 17 January 2020

• Castillo Elementary School
• Tangob Elementary School (both at Padre Garcia)
• Bgy Malitlit, Batangas.

65 families were given pack of goods and hygiene kit bags, distributed adequately depending on the number of members per family. Members of children's rehabilitation center also conducted a debriefing session with the kids in the evacuation centre. They also held a feeding program to the above mentioned places w/ the help of Lingap Gabriela & helped with the Children Rehabilitation group.

There was also a call to help stranded animals. They made a donation to “PAWS” organization as they needed more funds for their rescue mission.

The fanbase credits it all to BTS V as he is their motivation and inspiration behind meaningful yet necessary humanitarian work. They had started the donation as soon as the need arose, but V’s motivational prayer on Weverse helped them in keeping themselves motivated.
