On December 26th, Red Velvet's agency SM Entertainment told reporters, "Red Velvet members, except Wendy, will participate individually at the KBS Music Festival, MBC Music Festival, and will participate in the collaboration stages and as MCs." They stated that Red Velvet will not be showing any group performances at these shows. SM continued their statement with, "Wendy is currently hospitalized and receiving treatment. She will focus on treatment until her health is recovered."

During a rehearsal for SBS Gayo Daejeon,Wendy was badly injured, including a fractured pelvis and fractured wrist.
