BLACKPINK SLAY Paris and London's Fashion Week + Solo Predictions

Recently, members of BlackPink have taken up the modeling side of their careers with appearances at multiple fashion shows within the past weeks starting with JISOOat Dior, Burberry and Cartier(London & Korea). Jisoo is looking DROP DEAD GORGEOUS in all of her media released photos and carries each brand very well, claiming her title as Visual of BlackPink.

But, with her having the least amount of lines in BP, I doubt she will have a solo anytime soon. Jisoo is one of the most overlooked members as well as Lisa, this in terms of lines in their songs: Jisoo either repeats what Rosé has already sung or she has a millisecond part in the song that is her own line while Lisa, unless she's rapping, has next to no lines outside of adlibs and hype words. If Jisoo were to release a song, it would be the same tune as AIIYL, since that song fits her vocal and personality really well.

Next is ROSÉ in Paris for Yves Saint Laurent -- and she slayed everyone and everything with her dominating and sexy aura. Vogue wrote a whole article for her: https://www.vogue.com/vogueworld/article/blackpink-rose-saint-laurent-front-row-breakout.
I love it. I also love that Rosé is going out more by herself and networking since she has such a command of the English language and she understands how to approach the Western culture more easily than the other girls with her Australian origins. Take a look at her radio interviews in America. You will see a less cutesy and more real Rosé who easily maneuvers questions while keeping the energy up - Lisa also does well in English video's when she speaks, the Ghost story was a good radio snippet.

Rosé's recent solo activities area hint that she will be getting her solo soon. YSL is no small brand and her partnership with them makes her solo seem more viable now since she is a brand ambassador. Each of the different brands the girls are representing are on the same level - Burberry, Celine, Chanel, Cartier, Dior and YSL.Rosé has also been getting a lot of attention on the global stage via magazines while also garnering a lot of attention fromWestern artists, namely Miley Cyrus. This suggests that there is a high possibility that Rosé's solo will be with Miley or another big artist in the Western market, for chart purposes. A ChaeLisa subunit is also a possibility with their newest performance together and Lisa is still in Paris, with Rosé.

Halsey, who collaborated with another big Kpop group, seems more likely than Miley. Halsey seems to have an ongoing friendship with Rosé even before this recent Fashion Week meet up between the two artists.Halsey is in Paris for Fashion Week and met up with Rosé for dinner, this could be coincidence or it could be a potential collaboration.Rosé is still in Paris, even though the YSL show has passed, and she has been traveling - meaning different locations with Maeng (BP'S MUA), so it seem like she is filming her MV and her soloDiaries. YG does not need to add fuel to the fire of favoritism by not allowing other members a solo with a full-on diary and extensivepromo to go along with the song release.

Even with Rosé's growing international popularityRosé's solo should just be Rosé.

If she does have a solo it will either be a ballad or a hard-hitting female empowerment song;powerful in vocals and with great choreography, since she is the second best and Lead Dancer of BP. Some performances she even out dances or is on the same level as Lisa, those two deserve the title of Lead and Main Dancer and they're the two that probably practice the most with each other. Side-Note: Is Halsey every Kpop Idol's best-friend?

To reiterate, Rosé deserves her own solo, her own spotlight. Similar to any other idol who first goes solo; they don't go solo with someone else. Anything that is not solely Rosé will cement the idea that BlackPink is not about the individual members, or even the groups success as a whole, but instead how much money YG can make and how much Jennie can be pushed as the only potential solo artist out of the 4 girls. Rosé says she has her solo prepared and is making it perfect for release but at this point perfection is overrated, just show the world what you've got Rosé!

LISA for Celine in Paris
-- I actually haven't seen a lot of articles on Lisa for Celine - (EDIT: I see a lot of Lili's are upset over this comment. I am American. I am not going to see all of th foreign press posted about Lisa, which is why I said "I" haven't seen many. That's not hate, that's just fact, I'll bolden what I've said about Lisa since everyone is misreading) - so let me inform you of the Queen that took over the whole of Paris. All members of BlackPink were able to get their names trending during their event appearance but nothing compared to the 1M tweets that #EnVogueLisa received and the 3m that #LALISAxCelinePFW garnered - showcasing her huge fanbase since she also made videos for Thailand, Korean and English magazines while at the show. Lisa received the greatest attention front row from photographers and she handled it like a professional model, every look she gave was high fashion. She also attended the after party with Celine designers and creators - Lisa can adapt to almost any situation and she can speak English very well, which just helps her network even better. YG doesn't allow her to speak much English but when she does you can tell she's close to fluency, if not already there. And if rumors are to be believed, she will soon be a judge on a Chinese dancing television show.

EDIT: Lisa STANS are so bitter and offensive on twitter, here's Lisa's English Vogue....that was made available hours after I posted this article.

Who is Lisa Monoban? The K-pop ⭐️ that stole the show

On a personal note, I'm glad they curled and cut her extensions for the event because her airport hair was bad and not blended, like it was just thrown on her.

Now for her Solo predictions -- I think Lisa is the least likely to get a solo but if she ever does it will climb all of the charts. Statistically, the most famous member of BlackPink is Lisa but YG would not allow her to overshadow Jennie with her own hit song. It's very unlikely due to the fact that it will rival Jennie's attempt at a solo career and they would have the same kind of song. Jennie's solo had an extensive dance break along with rapping and singing, which is what Lisa's solo would be as well. Although Lisa does not get enough spotlight to showcase her vocal ability she has a very clear, high and distinctive singing voice while her rapping is very aggressive, low, and swaggy. A song with parts of her singing and parts of her rapping would be really nice to listen to because of the difference in texture between her rapping and singing.

Chanel with JENNIE - Jennie garnered a lot of English media play, as opposed to the other girls, with articles in Time, Yahoo News, Just Jared and an English fashion blog.

Although the articles written about her appearance during Fashion Week exceeded the other girls, especially when counting English written articles, Lisa remains the biggest front row attraction, having the craziest front row riot of the four. And with Rosé's shining moment going solo at YSL and Jisoo's multiple brand representations, I would say all in all BP owned PFW.

With all the headlines pushing Jennie Kim, her full name, it is quite likely she will have a comeback before BlackPink does and it will be geared even more towards the Western audience, specifically the American one, that "Solo" was. Interviews were focused on her solo career and fashion, with Jennie confirming the fact that she is the one who picks all of her clothes for her solo performances. The video is in the link above.

Even in the above article, BlackPink is only ever mentioned in the headline then it pretty much is a focus on "Solo" singer Jennie Kim. Read it for yourself.

All in all, I honestly doubt any other members of BlackPink will truly get solos and if they do it will not rival the promotion or work put in to Jennie's solo.

BlackPink, the group, are promoted in a way that suggests YG uses them to stay afloat rather than treating them as artists who will stay relevant outside the talk of the moment. The music industry is very fickle and is ever changing and with the little content BlackPink releases, as a group, the fame and popularity, especially in the States, they've recently been given will soon die down if they fail to release any new music, as BlackPink.

Breaking down BlackPinks' discography, each song is made to showcase Jennie, either in her vocal, her visual or her rap and most of the lines and screen time go to her, making it seem like BlackPink was made specifically as a wagon for Jennie to become extremely popular then branch out on her own. This is suggested by the fact that Jennie was a part of the audition process for each of the girls, having a vote on who she would want in her group, this Jennie has said herself when talking about first impressions of Lisa, Rosé and Jisoo.

EDIT: Blinks on Twitter think I am wrong about Jennie being involved in the choice of BP members. Jennie herself gave her first impressions of the group. First she talks about Lisa "Lisa came in first and she was just this amazing dancer and she just came right over from Thailand" and on Jisoo "we all thought...she was pretty [but didn't fit the YG image]...but where did she come from then she started doing her moves and we were like "oh we see, okay" then about Rosé she says "..this girl came right over from...with her guitar and she started playing her guitar....and I'm like okay you're definitely, yeah we'll get along well" The way she words her impressions of each of the girls makes it seem like she was there when the girls were auditioning. Jennie Stans are gonna go crazy for this one- "my fave created BlackPink"
Link: Jennie First Impressions

Jennie is pushed as the unofficial leader of BP by YG, something that would best fit Rosé, since she has had no scandals, leads well in group interviews (especially if it is in English) with a clear speaking voice and not a forced shyness, never lacks in stage presence, and has multiple instruments under her belt making her a great artist to strive to be.

The group, as a band, do not have one full album together but Jennie has a solo, a Spotify bio specifically for her and she is on all streaming sites (i.e. you cannot get all of BP's songs on Amazon Music but you can get Jennie and her solo artist page). She gets the most chances to prove herself on a solo stage, by way of the company, not like Rosé posting covers herself on insta or Lisa posting her own dance covers (i.e. the Chanel Pharrel performances,  Jennie's rendition of Best Part, her multiple solo covers on magazines, her being the center of every choreography and getting the most screen time during performances, in awards show settings especially). She is also the only member who gets a say in her wardrobe (group and solo performances, although her Solo outfits are more her alone), meaning she is unwilling to help or doesn't care when the other girls are dressed atrocious or not matching her.

The opportunities YG allows Jennie to have is nothing compared to what the other members receive; even Rosé was denied Elle Australia while Jennie was given Elle Korea. The Jalouse Magazine with Kim Hee June as photographer, was meant to showcase Lisa (with her name mentioned on the cover on the French cover) then BlackPink as a group  for China yet both were turned to Blackpink as a group with Jennie as center and the majority of the posts on both Jalouse and Hee June are Jennie. These specific instances are nothing Jennie can control. Additionally, Jennie is the only member who is promoted with her full name: Jennie Kim. No other member has that luxury. I'm not blaming Jennie, I'm blaming the management of Jennie and BlackPink.

Lisa, Rosé and Jisoo deserve to showcase their artistic talents or they will never be accepted as respected artists but rather Idol machines that never produce, write or create their own music. They should be given the chance to showcase themselves on a global stage like Jennie has been able to. There are multiple solo interviews of Jennie, in English magazines especially, but not of the other members. Since KTL was released this year I doubt BlackPink will comeback but I hope they do and as a group with different song formats and a full album before 2020 or at least in the beginning of 2020.

I find it alarming that they've been on fashion shows more added up altogether than on music shows this year. Really need some music
