Management companies of Top 20 "PDX101" support X1's debut

The management companies of the top 20 trainees opened an emergency meeting and gathered opinions regarding the fact debut group X1 formed by 11 final winners.

On the afternoon of July 29, a total of 14 companies whose trainees are in the top 20 have held an emergency meeting in Seoul. Earlier, on July 26, Mnet met the representatives of the companies of 20 trainees who participated in the live broadcast final and explained that they had requested an official investigation on the voting manipulation controversy. Today, the management companies of the 20 trainees have held an exclusive meeting without Mnet's participation.

The meeting obtained opinions such as "The management companies of 20 trainees who got into the top 20 hope that the group X1 formed from 11 final winners will be able to quickly conduct their activities favorably," "After getting the investigation results from the police, we will continue to re-discuss."

A management company representative present at the meeting shared, "This doesn't mean that we unconditionally support X1's activities. The opinions of management company representatives may differ, but they all hope that the incident will be quickly resolved and the trainees can soon fulfill their debut dream."

Although the establishment of the new group BY9 from the 9 trainees who were eliminated in the live broadcast final stage has been discussed, the management companies of 20 trainees have agreed that "The discussion on BY9 is the matter that will be decided by related companies."

On the other hand, in response to the controversy over "ProduceX101"'s final vote count, which showed no tendency of cooling down, on July 24, Mnet acknowledged their mistake in the process of counting the votes, "After reconfirmation, the final rankings, including position X (selected candidates based on cumulative votes) have no problems, but we have found errors in the process of calculating total votes and publishing rankings on television."

Despite that, the controversy has still not been extinguished. On July 26, Mnet said, "After the controversy broke out, we have investigated the related processes. However, Mnet judged that there would be limitations in tracing the origin of the error, therefore we have decided to hand over the investigation to trusted competent authorities."

X1 is scheduled to hold a debut showcase at Gocheok Dome on August 27 and start official activities.

Lol what's the point of this? Did these entertainment companies pay to vote like the fans did? Did they spend the time and energy? Nope they held hands with mnet knowing it was rigged and probably discussed which trainees they wanted to debut and which they didn't... how are their opinions even relevant to this rigging case? We're not asking whether THEY want the team to debut... we're asking mnet to be fairly investigated - they're trying to switch the attention from illegal activities to whether a group debuts
