Police have failed to secure an arrest warrant for Seungri

Police have failed to secure an arrest warrant for Seungri which was supposed to be applied earlier this week. They say it is due to the reinforcement investigation held recently, but observers say it is due to a circumstance of conflicts that have arisen.

According to police, a total of 4 charges are being filed against SR (prostitution, embezzlement, distribution of illegal material, violation of Food Sanitation law).

They say the key to securing an arrest warrant would be the prostitution & embezzlement charges.

Concerns are rising that if the prosecution rejects the request for an arrest warrant, citing insufficient investigation, it could put it in a disadvantageous position in the conflict bet prosecutors & police yesterday was the 17th time Seungri has been summoned by police, as he had been questioned now over 80 hours.

THEY. CAN'T. FIND. EVIDENCE. TO. CORROBORATE. THE. TEXTS.

It's because circumstantial evidence won't hold up. After 3 months and 80 hours of questioning they aren't going to magically find the evidence.

At the end of the day all they had was texts and a bunch of accusations

This is over.

I thought that this would be the outcome. Police interviewed Seungri a total of 17 times at a minimum of 12 hours a pop. If that was happening to anyone else, most of you would call that harassment. It is harassment. Police desperately wanted to arrest Seungri. They didn't have enough evidence. In articles posted here, they alluded to that. Police were preparing the public for this outcome.

The police handling of this case has been one of the worst examples of bumbling incompetence, I've seen. Law enforcement chose to blindly chase every innuendo, every red herring, every accusation from any source without vetting or interviewing that source.

At no point did police ever exert control over this investigation. Given that, this is the outcome, I expected.
