Police search former F.T. Island member Jonghun & 2 police officers' homes to investigate bribery allegations

AKP STAFF

Police have conducted a search on the homes of former F.T. Island member Jonghun and two police officers to investigate bribery allegations.

On March 28, media outlets revealed the Seoul National Police Agency is conducting a search and seizure of Jonghun and two police officers' homes, cars, and persons. Jonghun is currently accused of attempting to bribe a police officer to cover up a DUI for 2 million Won (~$1,758 USD) in 2016. Though he received a fine and a license suspension for 100 days, his DUI case was kept under wraps, which is strange for a public figure. The officer from the Yongsan Police Station who handled Jonghun's case is undergoing a search.

The second officer being investigated is from the Seoul Seongdong Police Station who worked on Jung Joon Young's hidden camera case in 2016. His cell phone at the time was analyzed at a forensics company, who are alleged to have received a request to write a confirmation letter stating the data from the phone was unable to be restored.

Stay tuned for updates.

Please, I don’t trust the police to do their jobs right when they’re corrupt as fuck, even killing their own officers who have tried to investigate properly. I mean, how did they even give that JJY bastard the time to factory reset his golden phone? How did they let Burning Sun so much time to demolish all the evidence?

I want to know why the search warrants take so long... its been weeks. In most countries you only need 'reasonable suspicion' in order to get a warrant. These guys had more than that and still the warrants weren't given.

As far as I know their clubs are still operating too?? Like surely they should have been shut down and searched back in February when the videos of girls being assaulted where found online. They found GBH in one of the employees houses and still the clubs are open? What does it take to close them down in SK?
