FANS IN THE PHILIPPINES WAITING FOR BLACKPINK

Things turned dangerously wild in the Philippines because of Black Pink

On February 2, Black Pink is scheduled to have a concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Philippines. Prior to the show, a huge crowd of fans waited for the girls at the airport to welcome them. But things went out of control when the idol stars arrived. Fans were seen climbing up cars, running, and shoving one another.

The hashtag #BLACKPINKinManila trended worldwide, and many expressed disappointment at the fans' chaotic behavior. Some also apologized to Black Pink. Comments stated,

Us Pinoy fans are always said to be very live and energetic when it comes to seeing our favorites but this is a new level of ridiculousness. As a Filipino myself, this is very shameful. Showing love to our favorites doesn't mean that we should endanger their safety and the safety of others. The Philippines should reprimand these fans. I hope this doesn't happen again.

indeed the walking dead

whats also disturbing is they were cheering jenlisa instead of all members, do you realise this can effect the other members badly??

and one male fan was touching jisoo (dk if he is even a fan ) even record it "I touched one (of them) haha they're so pretty" disgusting

blackpink have the most akgae fans i have ever seen for any group. the majority of “blinks” are only there for jennie and lisa. it’s really fucking weird lol. especially since rosè snd jisoo are the most talented members.

the disrespect of them only chanting jenlisa though. like you don’t HAVE to like the others but leaving them out of the chants is just fucking rude and embarrassing

im not a fan so i dk who is most talented but i believe that rose and jisoo dont deserve to be treated that way, whats the harm to support all members?? i do agree, they are supporting just 2 members,a lot of their fans are just solos, usually fans of kpop groups support all the members but its not the case

I think most of the people in there doesn't even have a ticket. It also just happen that blackpink is the current trend, filipinos love what is the current trend even our president is from a trend. But really that is what I hate about our country. I hope blackpink can have safe and happy concert.

1st thing that came to my mind is zombies 🤦‍♀️

BP looks so joyful at incheon airport and they look terrified at manila airport so many PH Blinks said ton of things in SNS sites about the grand way they welcome BP / about how they gonna make space 😡

Anyway huge shout out to PH blinks who shout Jenchulichang so other few out there who knew only 2 members didn't has any space to make some noise 👏

Why are they acting like this they're acting like thirsty wild apes. if you can't act like a normal civilized human being they won't want to come to your country anymore. in fear they might end up getting attacked like this. Grow up and act your age.

What a huge dissapointment for BP they were excited to meet their fans and what do they get? A horde of uncivilized apes.

Well I wouldn't expect them back for a while.

Don't mean to hate but a lot of the "over enthusiast" (bias protective but basically hate) comments seem to be from Filipino and viet girls alot of the time on forums and Youtube, I say girls because they act very immaturely with what they say. The thing is the idols don't fight among themselves so why do the supposed fans?

This situation is no different, some simply are far too enthusiastic about what they are interested in and give no fucks about the actual people they supposedly love. BP would've been scared out of their wits having these psychos doing this shit....

That didn't take long to appear here! LOL! I was actually expecting and waiting for this kind of article to show up. It is indeed embarrassing and disappointing but also at the same time, out of the big three girl group (current generation), BP is the first one to have a solo concert in PH. On behalf of those rowdy PH Blinks if you could call them that, I apologize for their behaviour. P.S. I'm aware Red Velvet was in the PH once but it's not a solo concert and they're not as big then as they are now. I'm pretty sure PH Kpop fans will be as excited for Twice and RV if or when the time comes.

Watch what you say. "Flip" is a racial slur you know. Filipinos should have acted better sure, but they don't deserve a racial slur coming from you.

Grabe! They went all wild.. Like chill. And the traffic is bad enough around the airport, they just made it worse. Mga bwesit and so uncool of them. It's like they haven't seen idols come to the Philippines before. Disappointing.

Just to give a head's up to all on some of the disparaging comments here against Filipinos. The word "flip" is indeed a slur against Filipinos. It is NOT a shortcut for Filipino, it is a derogatory acronym. You all can look it up if you want.

this is actually very disappointing to see as they should know that their idols would NOT be happy to see their crazy fans crowding like this. this is not only disrespectful towards the idols, but also to the police who are trying to control the situation and also the fans that would just like to give their idols a normal airport welcome. really hope that blinks can see this and not have disappointing behaviour like this again.

1. I really hate it when fans act like this! The only thing they did is scared the artists.

2. I don't really get tge hype around them, they have good music, good at dancing but so does many others, their look maybe? I don't get it.

3. I hope they'll have a good concert there and fans won't act like this.

Don't generalize Filipino fans because of this and don't act like American fans are moral angels or something special in comparison to others.

What those fans did was completely wrong and thoughtless, but your way of thinking/ talking here is just arrogant and narrow-minded.

Almost can't blame them.....but gotta stay under control! I said almost! I saw them in Japan.....my heart was pounding...but Japanese fans, I guess, are great! When they came on stage, everyone just screamed.....than they stop....and wait politely for the girls to say speak!. I kind of wanted crazier....but now I appreciate what Japan did for them! Don't get me wrong, everyone of those 75,000 people in the Dome loved their Blackpink!

Interesting that the Twitterati are using words like "disappointing" and "embarrassing". Yes, the fans are unruly, but to me their behaviour just reflects their (youthful) excitement and passion. Nothing for the Filipinos to be embarrassed about.
