Big Bang's Seungri resigns from his position as the head of Aori Ramen

Big Bang's Seungri

Big Bang's Seungri has stepped away from his ramen business.

According to SBS funE, Seungri, who registered as the head of Aori Ramen in September 2017, has officially resigned from his position on February 7. Prior to this, Seungri left his position at 'Burning Sun' club.

In a statement regarding the 'Burning Sun' assault controversy, Yang Hyun Suk hinted at Seungri's resignation, stating the idol is in the process of making adjustments in his business before going off to the military.

Meanwhile, the investigation on 'Burning Sun' club is ongoing.

At least say WHY he resigned, his resigning has nothing to do with burning sun but due to upcoming enlistment.

it was released in an old article from the burning sun scandal, because of his military service, the enlistee can't be CEO/management position while in active service.

Exactly, would it kill them to mention it's against military rules to be the head of a business?

it's crazy that Korea forces you to resign from your jobs just coz you are going to the military for 1,5 years.

Does anyone know or have an idea why this is mandated prior to enlistment? Why no (other than government) income during service?

Whatever Seungri does with all his business I just hope it's for his own good. I don't wanna see him being damaged by a bad business :/

Btw I know he resigning his position is because he's going to the army and will probably take the position again when he comes back but still. For example, my whole family depends on our family business and it's really hard to have something on your own more than working for someone/company :(

Actually, he resigned from both positions due to his enlistment. Nothing to do with the club controversy.

ITS STRAIGHTFORWARD, he resigned bcz per military laws, u cannot actively run a business, u have to appoint someone else while u r away.

Well yeah he has to resign from everything for military. Which make me wonder what I'd you're a CEO of a big company then you need to do your military service. Do you have to like give away your company too. O.o

Well, he was forced because it's against military rules. So it's the military forcing him, not the company

He resigned, but it's important to understand that he was not the owner.

He only distributed autographed discount flyers at the entrance, without even knowing the contents of the flyers themselves.

What? He was owner and CEO of aori ramen which is what THIS article is about and it is pretty obvious he knew about the going ons at branches since he is a very hands on CEO

it's scary how fans can just be ok with idols being corrupt. He obviously knew what was happening in that club and he still promoted it. Ygs tactic of just ignoring news is what keeps them from continuing their corrupt ways. Even if he didn't know he is still an accomplice because he obviously would rather cover up then fight for justice. Run away and your blind fans will wait for you just like Mr toilet

(NOT Trolling) ... WONDER if S.K POLICE will 'investigate' HOW MUCH MONEY ($$$$$$) that S.K POLICE members were being PAID to let the BURNING SCUM Club operate as it did ... :) ... (Impossible, IKR ???) ... ;)

Anyway, NOBODY in JAPAN cares about what SEUNGRI (or BIGBANG members in general) does in S.KOREA. A couple years from now, BIGBANG Group will be BACK to doing DOME CONCERTS in JAPAN ; where they earn MOST of their MONEY income.

Big Bang will have a come-back this YEAR - you know the other 4 are coming back from MS soon, right? And they are legends - huge. In Korea.
