Actor Lee Sang Woo confirmed as Shin Dong Wook's replacement in 'Touch Your Heart' after inheritance lawsuit controversy

AKP STAFF

Actor Lee Sang Woo has been cast in tvN's upcoming drama 'Touch Your Heart', as a replacement for actor Shin Dong Wook, who previously dropped out of the production voluntarily.

Lee Sang Woo will now take on the role of prosecutor Kim Se Won in 'Touch Your Heart', originally Shin Dong Wook's role. Kim Se Won is the best friend of the drama's male lead Kwon Jung Rok (played by Lee Dong Wook).

Earlier this week, reports stated that Shin Dong Wook was currently going through a lawsuit with his grandfather over a violation of agreements related to Shin Dong Wook's inheritance. Shin's grandfather alleged that the actor sold his inheritance house without permission, and the new owner of the house sent Shin's grandfather an eviction notice. Shin's grandfather then decided to sue his grandson in order to reclaim property ownership.

Meanwhile, tvN's 'Touch Your Heart' starring Lee Dong Wook, Yoo In Na, and more premieres this February 6 at 9:30 PM KST.

OK there's a lot going on here but this is basically what happened...

Dong Wook inherited the house and some land from his grandfather and after refusing it take it many times in the end accepted it,unfortunately because of working on a drama he was unable to visit him for 10 days and his grandfather contacted him saying all kinds of things mostly though about ruining his career and getting the property back Dong Wook tried to return it to him but granddad refused to take it back(the land was actually in Dong Wooks fathers name) .. now it basically has to go to court to decide who actually owns the land...

From what ive read the eviction noticed never happened though Dong Wooks father did try to get the grandfather out of the house to put him in a retirement home(granddad is 96 in very bad health and the house is in ruins)...

finally heres a statement from Dong Wooks lawyer ...

"grandfather had constantly physically abused, verbally abused, and threatened to kill his wife, son, and grandson. He had also continuously filed lawsuits against his family members" this all lead to a big rift in 2011 when granddad sued one of his sons and until recently when Dong Wook started visiting while filming nearby all the other family members hadnt been to see him in years...
