On November 15, Huayi Brothers Korea confirmed that Boys Republic member Lee Suwoong has signed an exclusive contract with the label as an actor.
"We've become one family with Le Suwoong, who possesses numerous possibilities. We will do our best in Lee Suwoong's new, upcoming challenges not only as a singer, but also as an actor," Huayi Brothers stated.
Suwoong debuted as a member of Boys Republic back in 2013. However, in September of this year, Boys Republic officially announced an indefinite hiatus as a group and wrapped up their activities with a final fan meeting. Afterward, some of the group members decided to enlist for their mandatory military service.
Suwoong, who has decided to continue his promotions as an actor for the time being, will be greeting viewers through upcoming web drama 'Secret Romance'. Meanwhile, Huayi Brothers is home to actors such as Yoo Hae Jin, Joo Won, Lee Da Hee, Lee Si Young, and more.
