Girl's Day's Hyeri shared thoughts on competing against AOA's Seolhyun.
Hyeri is making her big screen debut on September 13 through the historical film 'Monstrum'. A few days later on September 19, another historical film, 'The Great Battle', starring Jo In Sung, Nam Joo Hyuk, Seolhyun, and more will be hitting the theaters.
In a recent interview with Sports Chosun, Hyeri was asked to share her thoughts on competing at the box office and the similarities between her and Seolhyun.
Hyeri commented, "I don't have personal connections to Seolhyun but I've been watching her with interest as a fan. Instead of thinking about being compared, I was glad to be releasing a movie around the same period. There can be stereotypes against idols, so I came to think that I have a friend who can overcome those stereotypes with me. I hope both Seolhyun and I succeed (with the films). I haven't talked to her but I think I know how she feels. I'm cheering her on."
