She had an interview with Sports Chosun for her comeback with 'City Woman' (title song "Lady", where she was asked about various things. One of the questions was why Wonder Girls had chosen to disband.
She answered, "As Wonder Girls continued for 10 years, I had various experiences. I spent my 20s as a part of Wonder Girls and felt happiness, anger, love, and enjoyment. It's something very special to me, and a period of time that I'll always be grateful for. As the members talked sincerely, all of us wanted to have a new start and each explore the music that we each wanted to do. We made the decision and supported each other, so we all worked hard afterward."

She added, "For 10 years, we all focused on the group. We could have continued with the group, but as we talked with one another, we wanted to give weight to having a new start. We thought we could work harder that way, and we came to the decision after long talks. And now, all the members are doing well. It is a little sad, but disbanding is not something I regret."
