On the April 29th episode of the SBS variety show, Kim Jong Kook and his seven male buddies went out for a pasta lunch date.

While the group was talking about the celebrity's past appearances on 'Running Man', the buddies asked Kim Jong Kook which female guest was closest to his ideal type. The choices that he had were Kang Hanna, Lee Da Hee, Song Ji Hyo, and Hong Jin Young. 

After a brief moment of hesitation, Kim Jong Kook finally gave them the answer. And, his pick was...Hong Jin Young! 

Conveniently, Hong Jin Young, who was a special MC of that day, got to hear Kim Jong Kook's response directly from the studio. The four mothers, including Kim Jong Kook's own, approved of his decision and murmured that he is "a smart man." But while they were all happy about his response, Park Soo Hong's mother didn't look too joyful, since she had also wanted Hong Jin Young to be her potential daughter-in-law!

Regardless, the rest of the mothers on the show commented, "Hong Jin Young and Kim Jong Kook would be a good match. Don't look too far for love!"
