Hwang Chi Yeol breaks his previous record as the only male solo artist to have over 100,000 in first-week sales

Hwang Chi Yeol
Hwang Chi Yeol has set another record.

He held the previous record for first-week sales for solo male artists with 103,787 copies sold of his 'Be Ordinary' in June last year. He's broken his own record with his new mini-album 'Be Myself', where he sold 109,405 copies just in the first week.

It's quite a feat for Hwang Chi Yeol to achieve, as sales over 100k in the first week are usually only for male idol groups (and TWICE). (Note: Lay's 'Lose Control' has over 100k in the first week, but he is part of EXO and is not counted as a 'solo male artist'.)

Congratulations to Hwang Chi Yeol. If you haven't heard his newest song yet, you can check it out here.
