The label announced back in December of 2017 that it would be changing its label name. Kakao M has now revealed a new corporate identity to revitalize its new brand, which you can find above. The label's corporate identity is represented by the letter 'M', signifying the 3 main industries/corporations within Kakao M - Music, Melon, and Media.
The label has also approved the appointment of the new CEO, Lee Jae Wook. Formerly an executive of SK C&C, SK M&C, Loen, and Melon, Lee Jae Wook is well-known as the expert who largely contributed to the growth of Melon, the music streaming platform.
Finally, Kakao M revealed their intentions to pursue a 4th industry outside of their 3 main 'M's, beginning in 2018.
