Taemin
dropped the repackage of his 'MOVE' album, titled 'MOVE-ing' on December 10. This one has 4 brand new songs, including the new title track "Day and Night."Since I've already reviewed 'MOVE,' I'll only be highlighting the new tracks.

"Day and Night" is an unassuming stripped down tune on Spanish guitar. It's about (what else?) a breakup. Here Taemin's voice matches the guitar flourishes well, and his falsetto brings a smooth emotion to the tune.

"Snow Flower" is practically a showcase for his top-flight vocals, being a very slow tender ballad. His voice ranges from tender to billowy, often in the same refrain. "I'm Crying" is sort of a power-ballad, getting harder and louder during the chorus. It's pretty much the same as the Japanese version, only in Korean. "Hypnosis" (Rearranged Ver.) originally appeared on 'Press It.' I'm not super in love with this one, nor am I super familiar with it. It's a ballad, and if you love how his voice gets super emotional, then you'll think this one is super.

So what you get here are ballads. Not my thing, but I can't deny that his voice is more than up to the task. He's able to inject a fair amount of heartfelt emotion into a trackand keep up with a sweeping melody. He has a fair amount of power in those pipes, so he doesn't get drowned out either. What he did here, he did well, and these tracks mesh perfectly with the rest of the LP.

MV REVIEW

The locations are what makes this video good. I mean, if you're into staring at Taemin a lot, then that will probably do it for you, but I was struck by the scenery.

We see Taemin silhouetted against colorful skies at both dawn and dusk. He walks through a forest and through an overgrown fieldand stands on rocks as waves break against them. Not only that, but we get to see the sea as the sun glints off of it. It's mostly performance, but he doesn't really dance, it's more cavorting.

It's the type of MV that I like. The backgrounds are the star for me. They do a great job highlighting these, as well as Taemin himself. It's obvious that they put some thought and care into this one, and it pays off.

Put this one down as a good MV for me.
