EXO member Lay will be acting alongside Chinese actress Tang Wei in a new historical drama.
On December 28, 'Empress of the Ming' staff revealed that Lay will be playing the role of Zhu Qizhen, son of Empress Sun Ruowei (Tang Wei). Many are looking forward to the mother-son relationship between Tang Wei and Lay.
Previously starring in numerous films/dramas, this will be the idol star's first time acting in a historical setting, leading to much anticipation.
Consisting of 60 episodes, 'Empress of the Ming' is scheduled to air in 2019.
