On November 1, a close aide of Zhang Ziyi told TVReport, "We carefully monitored the entire wedding invitation process. That's just absurd".
Prior to this, Chinese media outlets stated that Zhang Ziyi's husband and singer Wang Feng were legal representatives of Bitmusic, a media outlet accused of live streaming Song-Song couple's wedding without consent, which supposedly tied into Zhang Ziyi's lavish appearance at the wedding ceremony.
The representative explained, "Wang Feng is only affiliated with the music service application and is in no way connected with the media outlet mentioned above. It's quite alarming to hear of such accusations being made towards an honorable guest who took the time to adjust her schedule and travel all the way to the event."
Meanwhile, Zhang Ziyi received much spotlight as she attended the Song-Song couple's wedding. She previously acted alongside Song Hye Kyo in Chinese films.
