Following BTS' guest appearance on 'The Late Late Show with James Corden', the American host landed #1 on the 'Top TV Personalities' chart for the first time.
'Top TV Personalities Social Media Ranking' is "a ranking of the most popular TV personalities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus, with global data provided by social media analytics company MVPindex", according to The Hollywood Reporter.
After James Corden posted BTS-related tweets, he earned "1.1 million Twitter likes, a 454 percent boost" he was ranked 10th on the previous list.
Jimmy Kimmel also snagged a spot on the chart at #8 after welcoming the K-Pop boy group on his show, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'. The Hollywood Reporter wrote, "A week after fellow late night host James Corden scored major social media gains after welcoming BTS onto his show, Kimmel got a piece of the action with a three-minute video segment, posted to his Twitter, in which he surprised moms of BTS fans with a meet-and-greet with the K-pop superstars, which, he wrote, "made their daughters super jealous." His prize: 460,00 Twitter likes and 179,000 retweets, up 643 and 1,317 percent, respectively."
