According to Sports World on November 21, ever since 'Train to Busan' was played at a midnight screening during the Cannes Film Festival last year, Hollywood has become greatly interested in Ma Dong Seok.

Having a large stature, not to�mention his broad shoulders, many were captivated by how the actor destroyed the zombies with his bare hands, demonstrating a superhero-like aura in the horror/apocalyptic film.

Ma Dong Seok spent his younger days in America and graduated from�Columbia State University. Before he got into acting, he was an MMA trainer and bodybuilder.

Afterwards, Ma Dong Seok participated in a meeting with creators to discuss possible Hollywood projects.

Ma Dong Seok recently received an offer to star as a superhero from Marvel Studios, however, he had to decline due to his conflicting schedules.�Ma Dong Seok is very loyal and it is important to him to keep trust/faith. He couldn't betray contracts and obligations he already had with Korean producers and productions.

"I would like to take up the opportunity sometime in the future", he commented, on his potential Hollywood debut.
