A netizen called her out for referring to EXO as 'sunbae', and commented, "Yah, you guys debuted in 2010. What do you mean EXO is sunbae (EXO debuted in 2012)? Ddanddaras (pejorative Korean term for entertainer) must really be stupid; Your brain is no better than that of a chicken."

Sojin politely responded to the comment and explained she joined Nine Muses 4 years after their debut. She wrote, "Oh..�My debut year is 2014. They are sunbaenim to me! Thank you for your thoughts!"
