The '2017 DMZ Peace Concert' aired on MBC and Girls' Generation was nowhere to be seen.

Back on August 12, the '2017 DMZ Peace Concert' took place in Yeuido in commemoration of Korea's Liberation Day. Various hot K-Pop stars such as G-Friend, MAMAMOO, BTOBAilee, and more were announced as the performers. Top girl group Girls' Generation was also one of them.

According to netizens, '2017 DMZ Peace Concert' heavily promoted Girls' Generation's attendance to the event as a headliner. However, the girls were nowhere to be seen when the performances from the concert broadcasted through MBC on August 15.

Fans expressed anger at MBC for using Girls' Generation for promotions and then not airing their performance on the broadcast.

Comments stated, "Why did you invite Girls' Generation if you are going to edit them out?", "Where is Girls' Generation? I watched and waited because I heard they're performing..", "You promoted it all with Girls' Generation and then completely edit them out, MBC??", "Girls' Generation attended the rehearsal after a music show that day but they were completely edited out. Are you playing with Girls' Generation or what."

The only way fans could watch Girls' Generation's performance was through fan cams. Complaints are continuing to be targeted towards MBC for editing out Girls' Generation.
