A 14-year-old falls to her death after arguing over the phone with her boyfriend

According to Daegu police officials on July 31, a 14-year old junior high school student identified as 'A' had fallen to her death from the 24th floor of her apartment complex at 12:25 a.m. KST on the16th.

It has been reported that 'A' had an argument over the phone with her boyfriend a day earlier.

'A' also had sent a message to her friend saying she was going to "take her own life." Police are currently investigating the area for further details on the accident. �

A Daegu police official stated, "We are currently investigating everything leading up to 'A's death in order to find out the exact cause of the situation. We are unable to address any specific details at this time."

Meanwhile, a recent study showed that teenage suicides are on the rise. �The reason being, most teens suffer from loneliness, severe depression, in addition to other issues such as bullying in school, school grades, financial issues, etc. Experts say, "Depression among teenagers is a serious case and should be looked into with much care."
