According to reports on June 8, the final boy group to debut through Mnet's 'Produce 101' season 2 may not be 11-members?

A representative of the industry supposedly said, "The debuting group may not be 11-members. From the beginning of season 2, there was nothing about the group being 11-members. The production staff is currently discussing how many members will be in the final group."

The report also claimed that another rep of 'Produce 101' told them, "Please check through the broadcast how many members will be in the final debuting group."

Previously, it was reported that for the 3rd elimination round set for broadcast this June 9, only 20 trainees survived, instead of the 22 that many expected the number to be due to season 1. The remaining 20 trainees will be dividing into two teams with 10 members each for the final round.

Fans of the show may have to wait until the show's final broadcast, this coming June 13, to find out exactly how many members will be debuting on 'Produce 101' season 2. Mnet, after seeing the reports, simply stated, "We are confirming the validity of the reports."

Do you think 'Produce 101' season 2 should stick to the 11-member group formula, or do you want to see some changes?

I'll be so happy to see many of them debut. Like seriously. It would be nice to seem them fulfill their dreams.

There were rumors that there'd be 12 finalists making people suspect that Mnet was going to handpick one extra guy. This was so it's "fair" for the rightful top 11, but it's still unfair cuz they're giving special treatment to one guy. THis whole time it's always been top 11, idk why they're trying to play off the "we never finalized anything" card

Mnet keep doing this since day 1. A few days before the elimination and starts with the rumors -_-  just waiting to see what happens

more than 11! I like it.

MNET fooled all of us with the top 11 and 11 seats lmao. "There nothing about the group being 11 members" they had our neck BENT.

MNET thinks we're blind when we clearly saw 11 blue, shiny chairs during elimination rounds. If they decide to go with a smaller lineup then you'd better expect fans to vote like crazy for their favs to get into top tier positions, but then at the same time a talented trainee will lose his chance of debuting if that happens so that's not good. Increasing the number of members isn't bad either, but line distributions and screen-time are major problems that need to be addressed because we all know how that goes for big groups.

Omg when I read the article I thought there were gonna be more than 11 members in the group and I was already happy. But what? 10 members? This is ridiculous.

10 members each on the final battle coz there is 20 of them, but not final 10. They might include more members instead of final 11
