U-KISS' Eli opened up about his past on 'Mr. House Husband'.

On the March 22 broadcast, Eli and his family visited his childhood home in the state of Washington.

Eli shared about his past, and revealed, "I once got beat up really bad by students. So I came (home) crying with my noona and my dad ran out to get them in like 5 seconds. That's also when I started taekwondo."

He continued, "The teacher didn't like me very much either. It was in high school. I encountered a lot of racial discrimination. That's why I lack confidence even til today."

Honestly, some of these comments make it sound like some people don't believe that bullying victims can be bullied because of their race. They're like, "That's weird because at my school, i never saw any bullying dealing with race" and it makes me laugh because that means they've never known how difficult it is to be a minority. Those people make it sound like they don't believe people can be bullied because of their race and that Eli is lying. I'm a Vietnamese American girl living in Texas and I've been bullied because of my race. There were only a few Asians in a school where coming from the ghetto is normal and when I was in fifth grade, rocks were thrown at me by a group of boys and they kept shouting, "You eat dogs", "Go back to your country", "Get your chink ass out of here" and etc. I'm not exactly sure if Eli is lying or not because i don't know him or have contact with him, but you people make it sound like he's just straight up lying.

I think they meant to say Washington DC, not Washington State . But I could be wrong.🤔

It does depend on where you live in the states. Some places are just ignorant and aren't used to people from other cultures and races.

I went to a high school in Los Angeles and Asians were generally considered "cool" lol, but it is LA. I would assume more now than ever since I see a lot of teens into Kpop and anime

?? This is so weird to me. Where I went to school there were micro-aggressions towards certain races, but blatant bullying against anybody, never mind against a certain race, just wasn't a thing. I didn't think Ontario would be so radically different from even Washington.
