SJ Label addressed the controversy surrounding the fire incident at a hotel in Taipei.

Recently, staff members were accused by netizens of carelessly leaving Super Junior's Kyuhyun in the hotel during a fire. Fans expressed much anger and continued to do so even after Kyuhyun provided an explanation on his Twitter, stating that it was his choice to stay in the room.

In response to the ongoing criticism against the staff members, SJ Label officially made an announcement on March 1.

The statement reads as follows:

"Hello, this is SJ Label.

We apologize for causing concerns about the fire incident at the hotel on the day of Kyuhyun's Taiwan concert. We also ask for understanding on our delayed announcement as we were carrying out Kyuhyun's concert as scheduled.

As Kyuhyun stated on his Twitter, Kyuhyun and his manager, security, and several concert staff members were having a meeting about the concert during the fire. When they tried to evacuate, the fire was already put down and it was best to remain in the room instead of exiting through the smoky stairway.

The staff members in Kyuhyun's room waited together with him for about 2 hours and returned to their rooms after Kyuhyun fell asleep. However, remaining smoke seeped through Kyuhyun's room and he came to a situation where he had to switch rooms.

As a result, the claim spreading across SNS stating that the manager and staff members left Kyuhyun in his room while they evacuated is completely not true.

However, the manager, security, and others who were in Kyuhyun's room for a meeting shared about the fire incident on their SNS accounts while waiting. One manager left a comment under the post and that caused misunderstandings.

Even though SNS is a personal space and the post was made after the situation settled down, we apologize for growing concerns and misunderstandings with playful expressions on SNS. We are going to take strict measures against the concert staff and managers to make sure that such incident does not occur again.

Currently, Kyuhyun's health condition is fairly well. His throat is not in good condition due to the recent tour but he's trying his best to take care of his condition in order to normally carry out his set schedule.

We will work even harder and give support so Kyuhyun can promote with safe and best condition from now on.

Thank you."

Other than EVERYONE who got involved in this (which, you gotta admit, are pretty dumb for staying put during such emergency.. and yes, I am talking about Kyuhyun too), I am honestly more angry toward that ONE person who said its "better to stay than going down the stairs and pass the smoke." NOBODY other than the firefighter chief can decide whether a situation is under control or not, and I bet you my entire lifesavings that whoever said that was NOT a firefighter, because people who fight fire KNOWS that smoke and fire travel UP and may cause structural damage, and they would rather have people go down, pass the smoke, and safely out the building than staying inside. So who is that motherfucker who said its okay for them to stay? That's what I want to know, because if its not because of that one person, this whole thing wouldn't happen.

That ONE person is probably Kyuhyun himself.

As much as it worries me about them taking "strict measures" against people who really didn't do anything wrong- I somewhat have to agree with them from a business perspective. Whether we like it or not, social media is a HUGE part of how everyone does business these days, and it's imperative that anyone who is working maintains a professional stance on their accounts, particularly if it has anything to do with their jobs. While I completely understand that all the people who posted were just having a little fun with the situation at hand, it blew up into something completely unnecessary as a result. Were they being a little careless, yes, but of course none of it was intentional. But now the backlash turned into a sh*t storm, and so many misunderstandings happened as a result- and at the end of the day, if that costs someone fans, then that costs the company money, which is a big no no. So while we all might be a little miffed at the idea of people getting penalized for something as simple as a message on instagram or twitter, we have to remember that these kinds of things can have real effects on a company. I can't tell you how many people I saw posts on different sites, saying that SM needed to fire all their staff and that they practically left Kyuhyun to die in the hotel while they all went for a coffee. We of course now know that isn't true, but the damage was done. I hope it will be something a little more simple like "Don't post on your social media when it comes to certain things during a tour and what not", and I certainly hope no one gets a serious penalty.

"We are going to take strict measures...." because how the fuck dare you be playful on your own personal account?

DuniaWu centen Thursday, March 2, 2017

Well they should, like next time they should go out. Even if the fire is settled down. (n.n)

KirbyX Wednesday, March 1, 2017

There is no smoke without fire.

The reason why this issue is lingering is because of the fact that people tends to pretend they are there when simply they were not.... How? Me... I was not there... why would I say things about who's not there and why he isn't there? I was not involve directly... so I should just shut up...
