Taiwanese President in favor of more dramas like 'Goblin'?

According to Taiwanese news on February 8, online poll results showed that Korean drama 'Goblin' was one of the most watched shows during Lunar New Year.

Second place was 'The Legend of the Blue Sea', followed by 'Romantic Doctor', 'Saimdang', 'Voice', 'Doctors', 'Descendents of the Sun', and lastly 8th place, 'Missing 9.'

President Tsai Ing-wen agreed to support the Media Industry, stating that "Taiwan has a weak media support system... compared to Korea, Japan, and China."  She also expressed her interest in strengthening Taiwanese media outlets and that "it is a crucial need in terms of business relations."

Furthermore, starting this year, Taiwan will be focusing more on drama and film productions.
