Uhm Jung Hwa stood on the stage for 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' for the first time in eight years on January 6!
Yoo Hee Yeol told her, "You appeared in the second episode and now you're appearing in the 347th," surprising everybody. She replied, "You've become really handsome. In the 2nd episode..." making everyone laugh at the suggestion.
She also revealed tearfully that after surgery for vocal chord nodules as a result of thyroid cancer, she was unable to talk for eight months. She said, "I was unable to sleep a single day of the week at the thought that I had to sing with a voice that had not completely returned to the state it was in the past. I wondered if I'd be able to go back into the recording studio, so it really feels like a dream," earning applause from the audience.
