Kangnam reached out to fans after the news of M.I.B's disbandment.
On January 4, Signal Entertainment announced that the label's contracts with Cream, SIMS, and 5Zic became terminated in 2015, and that the three decided not to renew, leading to M.I.B's disbandment. As for Kangnam, his contract will be coming to an end this March.

Following the news, Kangnam updated his Instagram with a photo of M.I.B and a caption that reads, "Please continue to provide all 4 of us with your love. BUSTERZ, thank you always. M.I.B, thank you very much. Thank u for everything."
